Chinese Medicine – Holistic Healing Treatment

Lisa Diamond Rosenthal, Holistic Healer & Life Coach discusses Chinese Medicine and its use in Healing.

Chinese medicine and healing arts is a very, very old, traditional form of medicine that has been around for centuries.

It looks at the person as a whole being.

All the pieces of our life are important for a successful thriving existence. We have a limited amount of resources (our energy, Chi) that we must value and use in the most efficient way possible to keep us alive and healthy.

DIS-EASE

Chinese medicine doesn’t look at diseases the way that traditional medicine does.

The body contains an overall narrative of dis-ease that Chinese medicine evaluates by inspecting key areas.

It looks at the characteristics of what is going on in your body. We feel the pulse and what is going on in the different organs. We look at the tongue which is a blueprint of what is going on in the different systems. Sometimes we look deeply at the eyes for similar indications.

From the various areas on the body, we look at different indications of imbalance.

The Chinese medicine practitioner asks  lots of questions that steer the treatment in different directions to understand more about what is going on in the body.

Healing The Body Systems

In Chinese Medicine we have many meridian systems, and they need to be moving properly. We also have five different organ systems.

When there is a problem and the systems are not flowing freely we get blockages and stagnations, excess heat, dampness, excess cold, low energy and slow or weak movement.

Chinese healing herbs, foods, movement exercises, sounds and meditations are used to relieve the issues and bring back ease in the body.
